Prison

The worst thing about being in a physical prison is you rarely get to see the sun. The worst thing about being in a spiritual prison is, you rarely get to see the Son.

Arrogance

You will usually find an arrogant heart rooted on the confluence of bad decisions and unpleasant consequences. It's long branches shading the nesting colony of snide remarks and negative intentions.

In your trench

When you are stuck in a trench with bullets whizzing overhead, bombs falling close by,  it's hard to take advice that implores you to wait on an unseen Calvary. The battle for your very life cannot be fought alone, dig in.

Be careful

Always be careful which friends you choose to ask for advice when you are down. Sometimes its like being bitten by a Puff Adder and then going to a Rattlesnake for anti-venom. Either way, you are in trouble.

Lost

Sometimes the person you're so keen on following and emulating is also lost. They just do a better job of acting like their not.

Aiming High

For people who are skittish about shooting, aiming high is irrelevant.
